Aziziye Municipality Ilıca Thermal Facilities participated in EKSPOMED 2011 Fair where 1402 firms and company representatives from 41 countries participated and it was the centre of attraction with its eye-brightening stand. Aziziye Mayor Fatih Cengiz told: “We are striving to be a brand district in Thermal Tourism”. Aziziye Municipality was the center of attraction at EXPOMED 2011 Fair where it participated to promote Ilıca Thermal Facilities and thermal tourism values of the district. Ilıca Thermal Facilities’ stand was visited by thousands of people at the fair which was organized in TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center, Beylikdüzü, Istanbul.

Having performed advertisement at EKSPO THERMAL section of EKSPOMED 2011, the most comprehensice and the biggest health fair of Turkey, Aziziye Municipality Ilıca Thermal Facilities was almost overwhelmed by visitors.

1402 firms and company representatives from 41 countries participated in the fair which was inaugurated by Istanbul Provincial Health Director, Prof. Dr. Ali İhsan Dokucu. Having visited also the stand of Ilıca Thermal Facilities, Dokucu obtained information about the facilities and laid emphasis on promotion.

Ilıca Thermal Facilities Manager Fatih ALpşanlı and Municipality Press Consultant Recai Pak were closely interested in the visitors that visited the stand and gave information about the properties of the healing water in the district, variety of the services provided at the thermal facilities and investment areas.

Aziziye Mayor Fatih Cengiz stated that Erzurum is famous for its natural beauties, tourism values and potentials. Cengiz told: “We are trying to make our city and district an attraction centre by promoting the values, potentials, natural beauties of our city at national and international fairs. Though our district has a modern facility and valuable healing waters, the long-awaited development thrust has not been performed yet. We want to create employment opportunities and widen the tourism vision of our district more by drawing the investors to our district. The progresses we are making are for making our beautiful district achieve the long-awaited status in the path towards development. Mayor Cengiz pointed to the importance of Ilıca’s participation in the fair where numbered thermal tourism centres of Turkey take place.

CATALOGUES AND BROCHURES WERE HANDED OUT

Visitors who visited Aziziye thermal stand were handed out catalogues, brochures and introductory films that tell about the thermal facilities in the district and the visitors were also given as presents pencils and key holders

Moreover, many national TV channels showed an interest in Ilıca Thermal Facilities’ stand at the fair and performed shoots with Fatih Alpşanlı, Thermal Facilities Manager, about the facilities and the properties of the thermal water.
